Knuckle Bash, like most other up beat 'em released so far, like Capcom's 1989 arcade hit, Final Fight, which is a side scrolling beat-em archetype up game. Players choose three characters (six if three are locked) from left to right through each level (most of which is divided into 3 or more scenes), fighting with an enemy character that appears, until they reached a confrontation with a powerful boss character at the end of the level. Once the boss is beaten, the player automatically proceed to the next stage.
